Reconstitution Guide

Standard laboratory reconstitution procedure for lyophilised research compounds.

Step 1

Prepare

Step 1 supplies: syringe, alcohol swab, lyophilised compound vial, and bacteriostatic water vial

Gather the lyophilised research compound vial, bacteriostatic water vial, alcohol swab, and a sterile syringe appropriate for the target volume.

Step 2

Clean vial tops

Step 2: Clean both vial tops and let them dry.

Swab the research compound vial and bacteriostatic water vial stoppers with an alcohol swab, then allow to air-dry before proceeding.

Step 3

Draw and add water slowly

Step 3: Draw from BAC water vial, then add slowly to peptide vial wall.

Draw the required diluent volume from the bacteriostatic water vial using a sterile syringe, then add it slowly to the peptide vial down the inside wall — not directly onto the powder. If the total diluent volume exceeds syringe capacity, add in multiple draws until the full volume is reached.

Step 4

Swirl and refrigerate

Step 4: Swirl gently until clear, then refrigerate.

Gently swirl until clear, then refrigerate at 2-8°C.

For concentration reference, the Reconix calculator models peptide mass and diluent volume to confirm solution concentration.
